With 10 years of running The Face Studio, I’ve had so many rewarding experiences that I never really had the chance to share with my customers and online community. Now that I have this new website and blog section, I want to start connecting with you, the reader, at a more personal level…so I’m going to share some of the stories that warm my heart – these clients are the people who inspire me to be the best at what I do because I’ve made a significant difference in their lives.
Take Tom, for example. He’s my oldest client to date! At 93 years old, Tom inevitably had age spots appear on his face. Age spots, also known as liver spots or solar lentigines, are flat tan, brown or black spots. They vary in size and usually appear on the face, hands, shoulders and arms — areas most exposed to the sun.
While age spots aren’t irritating, painful or bothersome by any means, they are aesthetically unpleasant for some. Tom’s grandson booked an appointment and brought him in to the studio to have them removed one afternoon. As soon as I met him, I knew that I was going to help this man out in more ways than one.
The age spot on Tom’s eyelid was quite large in size – big enough that it had developed over the edge of his eyelashes. As most of us have experienced, if a teeny tiny object like a piece of fuzz ever landed on our lashes, it effects how we see temporarily. I couldn’t have possibly imagined what Tom was seeing in his line of vision day in, and day out.
Immediately after the removal of his age spot, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The poor guy thought he had to live this irritating growth for the rest of his life! The formation hindered his vision for so many years…it just felt amazing to help him gain his full peripheral vision back. All the best Tom! I hope you’re enjoying looking 10 years younger and being able to see properly now
